Based in the historical river side town of Market Deeping, Whaley Woodworks creates bespoke furniture pieces, made to order.

What started out as a request for a coffee table soon gathered momentum as more and more requests were made.

Producing one off pieces for local residents lead to a huge variety of designs and builds being undertaken. Unique pieces such as the Zig Zag Offset Drawers and the Glass Top Coffee Table made from reclaimed timbers from a local barn, all helped Whaley Woodworks gain recognition.

The journey so far has been completed out of a small shed workshop which presents its own challenges. Without a dedicated woodworking bench and only basic material clamping facilities, I found myself constantly re-inventing ways to work.

This lead to the birth of HDS - The Hold Down System.

HDS is a material holding system for individuals, who like me, don’t have a dedicated workbench with a vice etc or possibly no workbench at all.

HDS can be dropped onto most flat surfaces turning it into a versatile workspace.
