Is Vinnie's Oil food safe?

Yes — all Vinnie's Oil products are 100% food safe once fully cured. They're free from VOCs and harmful chemicals, making them ideal for chopping boards, worktops, and any surface that comes into contact with food.

How much does one tin cover?

Coverage depends on the product. The Ultra Penetrating Hardwaxoil (UPO) covers approximately 25–30m², while larger tins cover up to 55–60m². Check individual product pages for exact coverage details.

How many coats do I need to apply?

For most surfaces, two coats are recommended — the first to penetrate and prime, the second to seal and protect. Allow full drying time between coats as specified on the product.

How long does it take to dry?

Drying time varies by product and conditions, but typically 4–8 hours between coats in normal temperature and ventilation. Full cure is achieved after 5–7 days.
