The HDS Drill Table Top is a dedicated workholding surface designed for use with pillar drills and bench-mounted drill presses. It features the HDS clamping slot system, allowing you to securely clamp workpieces for accurate, repeatable drilling.

Yes - you will be supplied with 4x threaded inserts, 4x bolts and assorted washers.

Step 1 - Position your HDS top onto your existing drill table. Insert a 6mm drill bit to assist you in finding the exact centre. Trace the pattern of your slots/holes onto the underside of your HDS top.

Step 2 - Drill 4x 9mm holes (use a flat bottomed bit) within your slot/hole outlines to a depth of 13 mm.

Warning- do not drill beyond 13mm, especially if your slots/holes line up with the clamping slot on the face.

Step 3 - Install the threaded inserts taking care not to over tighten.

Step 4 - Position your HDS top back in place, check for centre and then secure it using the bolts and washers supplied. Again, be careful not to over tighten and risk stripping the bolts.

Please note: The HDS Drill Press Table Top is a universal system and so in the event you find the bolts aren't long simply replace with some M6 bolts of an appropriate length.
