The HDS - Hold Down System is a portable workbench that can be dropped into place on almost any flat surface.
Once in situ, this temporary workbench provides a clamping solution to individuals who do not have access to a fixed workstation with a vice or other material holding facilities.
Using a combination of slots and dog holes, the HDS allows you to introduce both clamps and bench dogs in order to clamp material in place.
Whether you are seasoned furniture maker, an on-site carpenter or a weekend hobbiest, the HDS will open up all sorts of ways of working that were not there before.
The system is constructed out of two sturdy 25mm hardwood boards that can be flat packed after use for easy storage or simply sit it on its side at the end of your bench.
Assembling for use is simple with just 4 bolts to secure and your HDS system and can be ready in under a minute.
When assembled the system measures approx 576mm wide x 480mm deep with a 288mm overhang.
The Grade B versions are what we would call, "Rough Round the Edges". These systems possess all the same great features and benefits as the finished option, just without the smooth edges. The system may have picked up some cosmetic damage, some imperfection to the plywood surface, small repairs completed or some machining marks. Nothing that will interfere with how the HDS operates, its just not as pretty as it could be.
Bit like picking up that cute cross breed puppy from the animal shelter, it might not be a pedigree, but you won't love it any less....
Warning: HDS is manufactured out of plywood and so some tear out, machining marks, imperfections and splinters will be present.
Please wear the appropriate PPE, including gloves, to prevent injury when handling your Grade B system for the first time.
